Leading up to the time celebrating the year’s bountiful harvest, the Northern Link (NOL) project team visited different communities along the NOL alignment to share and enjoy the festive season. "As the Mid-Autumn Festival is approaching, we have prepared 'lucky' bags and brought along the 'Northern Link Lantern Riddle Game' for nearby residents to understand more about the project," said Mr Dominic Law, Project Manager – Northern Link of MTR Corporation.
The NOL project team exchanged information and views on the NOL project with Mr Hau Chi-keung, Chairman of Sheung Shui District Rural Committee & District Council Member (1st left), Mr Hau Fuk-tat, 1st Vice-Chairman of Sheung Shui District Rural Committee and District Council Member (2nd left), Mr Tang Lin-sing, Kwu Tung (North) Village Representative (1st right), and Mr Tang Yuen-keung, Kwu Tung (South) Village Representative (2nd right).
The NOL project team fully supported the festive event organised by the San Tin Rural Committee, and celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival together with Mr Man Mei-kwai, Chairman of San Tin Rural Committee and District Council Member (6th right), San Tin volunteers and locals.
The NOL project team fully supported the Mid-Autumn Festival event organised by the Kwu Tung Village Committee Office earlier and gathered together with the residents. In addition, the NOL project team also visited San Tin and showed dedication and support to the festive event held by the San Tin Rural Committee. The project team distributed anti-epidemic service bags and nicely packed 'lucky' bags to the communities to share festive blessings and warmth to the residents.

The NOL project team also prepared NOL pamphlets and a prominent informative roll-up banner, proactively introducing the background and latest updates about the project to residents and exchanged ideas with them.

Cracking the lantern riddle is a kind of must-do activity amidst a Mid-Autumn Festival event! The contents of the NOL lantern riddles are all based on knowledge and fun facts about this new railway project and the communities along the alignment. Taking part in the riddle challenge, residents could understand more about the NOL project and win souvenirs.

The interactive mini-games designed by the NOL project team were also well-received by the residents. By experiencing the fun, participants could better visualise and understand how the commissioning of the NOL will facilitate more connected mobility and community vitality. During the game period, Mr Dominic Law, Project Manager – Northern Link of MTR Corporation chatted with the audience and shared, "NOL will connect the East Rail Line and Tuen Ma Line, enabling the development of areas along the alignment. It’s estimated that the journey time between Kwu Tung Station and Kam Sheung Road Station will only be around 12 minutes, providing greater convenience to the communities."
