The construction of the station structure for Kwu Tung Station on the East Rail Line is progressing at full speed as planned. The concourse slab has been successfully completed and 28 metal supporting struts have been removed. This was followed by the commencement of Side Wall construction, marking a significant milestone as the construction of the station structure advances to the next stage!

The project team is working around the clock to accelerate the progress of station construction at full speed.
The construction of Kwu Tung Station above the operational railway tunnel requires that daily operations of the East Rail Line remain unaffected throughout the works. The successful progress of the station construction relies on the project team’s meticulous planning and precise execution of construction.
Next, the project team will begin the construction of the ground-floor slab and station entrance and exit facilities, continuing to move forward steadily with high standards of efficiency and safety to ensure thorough preparation for the future commissioning of the new station.
