The second “Northern Link – Youth Ambassadors Programme" has recently come to a successful close. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to every youth ambassador for their dedication and contributions.
The ambassadors visited the MTR Academy.
The team arranged a special visit to the MTR Academy, where ambassadors participated in guided tours and interactive exchanges. This experience deepened their understanding of the fundamental concepts of railway operations and systems. Beyond enhancing their knowledge of the railway industry, the visit also allowed them to experience the professional training environment first-hand, offering valuable inspiration for their future development.
CEO Ms Jeny Yeung also took the opportunity to meet with the ambassadors, expressing appreciation for their efforts and encouraging them to continue caring about and actively participating in shaping Hong Kong’s future. With their passion and commitment, these young ambassadors are poised to shine brightly and write an exciting new chapter for our city.

The project team arranged a short course, “Railway 101”, for the ambassadors, enabling them to gain a deeper understanding of the basic concepts of railway operations and systems.
The ambassadors also had the opportunity to experience train captain simulation, and they thoroughly enjoyed it.
Over the past six months, our Youth Ambassadors have actively visited 40 primary and secondary schools. Through lively and engaging school talks , they introduced the latest updates on the Northern Link project to more than 8,000 students. The programme received an enthusiastic response, successfully spreading railway knowledge into the community and strengthening public awareness and support for the project. These efforts have helped more people understand the vital role of the Northern Link as the backbone of mass transportation in the Northern Metropolis. The project will significantly enhance connectivity within the Northern Metropolis while further deepening cross-boundary ties between Hong Kong and the Mainland.

With the full inauguration of Northern Link project, this vibrant group of Youth Ambassadors will continue to carry out their mission—bringing railway and project knowledge into the community and serving as an important bridge between the railway and the public.
