The first "Northern Link – Youth Ambassadors Programme" has recently concluded, marking the successful graduation of a group of Youth Ambassadors.
To provide the Youth Ambassadors with an unforgettable graduation, we invited young engineers from Kwu Tung Station on the East Rail Line project team and the Northern Metropolis Railways Office of the Highways Department to share their daily work experiences and industry insights, encouraging aspiring young people interested in the railway or engineering fields to use their role as Youth Ambassadors as a starting point for planning their future career development.

The engineers from Kwu Tung Station on the East Rail Line project team and Northern Metropolis Railways Office of Highways Department shared their entry experiences and anecdotes from their workplaces with the Youth Ambassadors.

Engaging in conversations with the young engineers deepens the Youth Ambassadors' understanding of railway engineering, aiding them in subject selection and career choices.
Knowing that many of the Youth Ambassadors are also railway fans, we wrapped up the programme by inviting them exclusively to visit the construction site of Kwu Tung Station on the East Rail Line. They witnessed the latest project progress of the new station first-hand and learned about its construction features and background, marking this visit as the final stop of this year's youth programme.
The youth ambassadors listened attentively to the MTR engineer's introduction to the Kwu Tung Station on the East Rail Line project.
The site visit to Kwu Tung Station on the East Rail Line fully capped off the first Northern Link – Youth Ambassadors Programme.
Over the past six months, these enthusiastic young people have been actively visiting tens of primary schools, delivering engaging presentations to bring information and updates about the Northern Link project into the community. The roving talks were well-received, with a total of 30+1 sessions held by the end of the programme, exceeding expectations and even adding an extra session at the end. Thanks to the Youth Ambassadors' collaborative efforts, more than 6,000 primary school students have learned about the Northern Link project.
All of the students were engrossed in the captivating talks about the Northern Link project.
Partnered in groups, the Youth Ambassadors spared no effort in promoting the Northern Link.
When each session ended, the students expressed special excitement when receiving exquisite souvenirs of the New Railway Projects.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the Youth Ambassadors for their hard work and dedication throughout this period. We hope they will continue to pay attention to the Northern Link project and care about the development of their own communities in future.
