The Northern Link project team participated in the Dragon Boat Festival event organised by the Kwu Tung Village Committee Office earlier to distribute anti-epidemic service bags and festive foods to the residents to share warmth and care with the Kwu Tung community.
The Northern Link project team, together with Kwu Tung Village Committee Members and volunteers, prepared and packed anti-epidemic service bags and festive foods before the event.
"We hope to take this opportunity to thank the community and residents for their support of the Northern Link project. We will continue to make our best endeavours to have the Northern Link commencing service and serving the community as early as possible," said Mr Dominic Law, Project Manager – Northern Link of MTR Corporation. He also welcomed all to visit the Northern Link project website to learn more about the project and raise suggestions.

The planning and design works of the Northern Link project are underway by the MTR Corporation. The Northern Link project includes the construction of Kwu Tung Station on the East Rail Line, which is targeted to commence construction in 2023 for completion in 2027; and the building of the Northern Link between Kwu Tung Station and Kam Sheung Road Station, with three intermediate stations at San Tin, Ngau Tam Mei and Au Tau, which is targeted to commence construction in 2025 for completion in 2034.

The Northern Link will connect the East Rail Line and the Tuen Ma Line, forming a railway loop in the northern New Territories, enhancing the transport connectivity between the east and west of the New Territories and promoting land and economic development along the alignment.
